IBC, Amsterdam - September 7, 2007: Chyron Corporation (OTC BB: CYRO) has today announced that The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), a civil, self-governed, non-commercial organisation has ordered an LEX² graphics system as part of an extensive technology upgrade. This announcement marks the first LEX² sale in Russia, carried out by Chyron’s Moscow based partner, Sankom-Pro.

The LEX² will form the heart of the organisation’s graphics capabilities housed in the main Control Room in Moscow. RAS, which produces scientific and popular science films, will use the LEX²’s outstanding functionality to provide real-time 2D/3D animation for channel branding and programme style.

RAS includes scientific institutes from all across the Russian Federation. The organisation’s Head of Technical Department, Alexander Smirnov commented, “We looked at demonstrations from a number of manufacturers including Chyron, Vizrt, Pixel Power and Pinnacle. The Chyron system provides us with the functionality and power that we require for this facility upgrade. The system is both efficient and cost-effective and will be a major part of our channel branding in the future.”
