CHYRON UNVEILS NEW FEATURES FOR
THE HYPERX³ GRAPHICS SYSTEM
Las Vegas, NV – April 11, 2010: Chyron (NASDAQ: CHYR) has announced new features for the HyperX3 graphics system, improving system performance and enhancing use and flexibility.
HyperX3 is Chyron’s flagship, on-air graphics system powered by Lyric PRO 8.0, our most sophisticated and powerful platform ever. The features and performance of HyperX series systems keep getting better and better.
Key New Benefits For Lyric PRO 8.0 on the HyperX3:
Stereoscopic 3D: As 3D Stereo is the buzz in the industry, HyperX³ is ready to support the need at no additional cost. Current templates are easily played out in 3D and all the design tools needed to produce stunning stereo graphics are built right into the system. Training is a breeze and stereo graphics are built directly within existing workflows further increasing the value to broadcasters.
Touch GraphX: Another stunning feature for HyperX³. We have all seen on set displays operated by in camera talent, creation and playout has traditionally required expensive and dedicated platforms. Now Touch GraphX solves both problems. Creating directly within existing templates, training is quick and easy and on air impact is stunning. Easy for on air talent to operate and intuitive for the production team to create, Touch GraphX bring a whole new impact to any news and sports production in existing worlflows for little cost.
Inherit State: The feature allows designers to create Smart Graphics by adding the ability to freely define the end of any object animation without having to know the previous state of the object. This feature eliminates the need for time consuming custom programming, meaning users will be able to get graphics to air faster than before, while allowing for last minute changes to graphics.
Conditional Transition Manager: Transition manager allows users to generate complex scene transitions without the need for full custom programming. Smart Graphics generated by this feature reduce the overall cost of production and increase efficiency by reducing the time needed to generate transitions and achieves more graphic flexibility.
Enhanced Render to Disk: Operators can now render Flash® files directly within Lyric without leaving the newsroom workflow. Now ALL your graphics can easily be rendered for Web content publication with no additional effort. Files can also be rendered as Quicktime® and .avi.
Live Video Texture: Live video can now be used as texture for animated objects, increasing the uniqueness and sophistication of the end playout product without requiring additional custom editing or programming.
Extended FBX 2010 for 3D Studio Max: Increases integration for import of 3D scenes and geometry from Autodesk’s 3D Studio Max, allowing designers to work in their preferred 3D authoring environment and integrating into Lyric PRO 8.0.
Power Charts 2.0: Brings unrivaled simplicity for all your chart, bar and pie graph needs while improving workflow speed.
Chyron will be exhibiting these new features at the NAB Show in Las Vegas April 12-15, 2010. The company’s booth at the show this year focuses on uniting creativity, business and technology and will be located at SL1420.
