VENEVISION WORLD CUP ACTION

Melville, NY, August 5, 2010: Chyron (NASDAQ: CHYR) today announced the sale of its CodiStrator telestration system to Venevision, one of Venezuela’s largest television networks, to highlight match play in the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa. The CodiStrator rounds out Venevision’s existing Chyron broadcast installation, which includes Chyron’s HyperX graphics systems.

CodiStrator provided Venevision presenters with sophisticated, live telestration to spotlight and analyze game play for the World Cup matches, enriching the viewer experience. When game highlights were replayed in slow motion or freeze-framed for analysis, the presenter sketched and dropped graphics directly to the touch screen, pinpointing action, players and strategies.

CodiStrator’s bullet feature enables the creation of custom text and still/animated graphics that can be dropped anywhere on the scene. Logo display can provide sponsorship opportunities. The telestrator extends outside of sports coverage, enhancing news, weather, traffic reports, and medical/corporate presentations, and has the ability to import Chyron’s AXIS maps.
