Capitalizing on a Successful Workflow iRB, Chyron’s “Intelligent Rundown Builder”, is a web-based workflow tool for creating and sequencing graphics using a drag-and-drop interface. Borrowing on the MOS workflow, iRB allows users to view templates and fulfill them with text, images and movie files. iRB uses the same workflow as their counterparts in the newsroom, however, iRB can function as a stand-alone process or in parallel with a Newsroom Computer System.
Built On Top of CAMIO As an option to a CAMIO server, iRB leverages the Asset Management, content distribution and Running Order publishing power of a Newsroom system, but without the newsroom system. User Management within the host CAMIO server provides the power to manage content and how it gets used. The web-based interface allows access to users with a web-browser to create entire show rundowns from within just iRB, if needed. Since CAMIO can provide access to still images, movie files and Lyric templates the process can be self-contained. New assets can be uploaded to CAMIO using a standard web browser as well. The administration of CAMIO is also a web interface, which reduces the need to be at the server to manage the system.
Placing the workflow in the right hands Traditional workflow often creates a cost-prohibitive environment. Creating templates properly requires a skilled designer to craft them once. After the templates are created, they can be populated, time-after-time; by almost anyone. Allowing producers to create graphics for entire programs using the templates they can access via a web-based tool to populate them, properly sequence them and review them; all at their desktop can not only save on staffing budgets, but also provide more graphics to enhance the program for the viewer.
iRB provides the access to template based graphics workflow for a wide range of productions. From Local Cable Access programming all the way to network-level news; iRB has something to offer. Religious programming, Corporate video and production facilities are can benefit from iRB.
