Custom, Broadcast-Quality Graphics from Low-Cost PCI Board Sets
Digital pcCODI and Analog pcCODI offer platforms for economical, yet powerful, PCI-based SD graphics for a wide range of CG applications. Custom-designed, third-party applications can be used to create and play out broadcast-quality graphics tailored for a specific purpose, such as EAS, sports, weather, school closings, business tickers, subtitling and much more.
pcCODI features real-time execution of complex, layered text and graphics, over an internal background graphic plane. Rolls, Crawls and Flipbooks, as well as dynamic transitions such as dissolve, push and weave add an extra graphic dimension for a true broadcast look. pcCODI can read iNFiNiT!® fonts and messages, and TIF, TGA, BMP, Chyron RGBA and PCX files.
Easy Integration into a PC
The pcCODI board fits into a PCI slot on a PC running Windows® 2000 or XP. Multiple Digital and/or Analog pcCODI boards can be installed in a single PC. Each board can provide independent outputs, or the video outputs can be cascaded from board to board (digital-to-digital or analog-to-analog) to produce unique, eye-catching graphics. On-air integrity is assured via an on-board video bypass.
Specialized, Third-Party Applications and Development Tools
A variety of specialized applications is available from Chyron’s third-party development partners. For third-party developers who create applications, the supplied CD provides a vast library of character generator and pixel manipulation software functions. Over 125 display functions enable the creation of custom interfaces to the pcCODI board, including automated data input and display. An application can run on both the Analog pcCODI and Digital pcCODI.
