Chyron introduces EAS-HD, a standalone HD/SD switchable EAS appliance that will meet your Emergency Alert requirements well into the future. EAS-HD offers a perfect upgrade path to users who are currently using the venerable SD-only EAS-DigiBox CODI appliance but who now require native EAS compliance in High Definition. EAS-HD offers unsurpassed graphical quality from a company synonymous with broadcast graphics andcomes with a single EAS crawl scene, located at the top of the screen. If you wish to modify the appearance of that scene (the background or typeface, for example), Chyron’s Creative Services department can handle that for you quickly and easily. Finally, an EAS appliance that gives you the same quality of graphics as you expect from the rest of your on air devices.

EAS-HD supports both EAS crawl data and comes standard with audio mixing capability, allowing you to combine AES Alert audio tones generated by your decoder with your SDI program audio stream.

EAS-HD supports all major EAS decoder manufacturers including TFT, Sage and Digital Alert Systems. Communication between the decoder and EAS-HD can be over a traditional serial connection or alternatively over your facility’s network connection. And because EAS-HD has been developed from the ground up as an extensible device it is easily upgradeable to take advantage of any future enhancements to the US Government’s Emergency Alert System.
