LEIF is Chyron's powerful API for developing real-time broadcast graphics applications and plugins for Chyron platforms. The API uses the Lyric PRO render engine and allows software designers complete access to all Lyric PRO features such as 3D object manipulation and creation, data binding for automated control of graphic elements, control over Chyron HD/SD frame buffers, DVEs and clip playout.

LEIF can be used to create plugins for Lyric, also known as LEIFlets.
