Please note: The Chyron Customer Service Department has been made aware of an issue affecting CAMIO Servers that should be mentioned to older CAMIO clients.
A few CAMIO servers were shipped several years ago using the Adaptec 2420SA/128 RAID controller. This controller has a serious incompatibility with QuickTime file playback. Opening a QuickTime file will cause the RAID array to degrade, often resulting in large scale loss of data.
That said, we strongly recommend that any station call Chyron Customer Service prior to installing QuickTime on a CAMIO server.
We also suggest that the CAMIO database, structured storage, and cache files be backed up on a regular basis. Please call our Customer Service Department for CAMIO backup and restore procedures.
Please note: Chyron has not yet qualified its products for use with Internet Explorer® 8. Please continue using Internet Explorer® 6 or 7.
